Out & About's base mooring is at Hainsworth's Boatyard, which is a family run firm based in Bingley, West Yorkshire. The boatyard has all the usual facilities: diesel, pump out, servicing, etc.  In addition they can safely move your boat to any destination in Europe or beyond. Using specially designed air suspension vehicles and trailers, they are capable of handling all vessels up to 55ft long and 32 tons.

We are members of the national body that represents Community Boats. The NCBA runs Certificate in Community Boat Management courses. The certificate is recognised by British Waterways as a valid qualification to skipper Community Boats.

The Leeds & Liverpool canal is maintained and managed by British Waterways, their web site contains loads of valuable information about the whole canal network.

This website has a virtual cruise from Leeds to Liverpool, well worth a visit just for that - but they also have tons of information about the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and other Pennine waterways.
