The Out & About canal boat provides an educational and recreational outdoor facility for community groups, it is particularly suited to youth groups who are looking for that residential experience with a difference!

Out & About is a 47 ft, 12 berth barge powered by a diesel engine.  Its base mooring is at Bingley, just above the world famous Five Rise Locks, on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.  The boat is well equipped, with hot and cold running water, two flushing toilets and a shower.  The galley is equipped with normal domestic kitchen units and appliances.

The boat is fully centrally heated and has electric lights operating throughout.  We have attempted to make access as easy as possible in this sort of vessel, although users should be aware there are several steps down into the main body of the boat.  Whilst we welcome bookings from all groups, we advise that disabled users contact us for advice prior to booking.

The boat has sleeping accommodation for a maximum of 12 people (2 double bunks and 8 single), two of whom must be responsible adults and at least one of whom must be an experienced skipper.
